Las Torrecillas (The Little Towers)
This is the very center of the Chihuahuan Desert, also known as the Bolsón de Mapimí and where went to study how ranchers and researchers perceived environmental conservation and appropriate land use. I spent most of my time looking for people! If the light looks odd, that's typical of that area. It's also known as The Zone of Silence, and I am its lone myth debunker:
