on October 1, 2006Thanks for the clarification -- these are actually "Arizona" house finches and I thought their beaks looked a little thicker than the ones here in California. The photo looks a little dark on my monitor here . . . it looked quite bright on my laptop screen.

on October 1, 2006How come I didn't see this the other day? Hmmm. This is a very nice shot of the house finches. I like the golden light and their different poses...concentration and torn leaf in the beak...makes it interesting...sharp too!
