Bashful?
(June 18, 2007) Two of my favorite things -- something spiky and a hummingbird. This little scruffy scrapper was really curious about my lens and kept looking at it, first one way, then the next, a little closer, then a little further, then a little closer. Then it got into an aerial fight with another hummer and they were gone.

on June 20, 2007It was definitely your lucky day! This is such an incredible shot -- with all the detail, and his beak does compliment the "spiky" thing.

on June 19, 2007like the way the branch complements the beak...he's a cute little guy - - knowing nothing about hummingbirds: is that pollen on his head? do you have lots of nice hummingbird attracting flowers at your place or do you use one of the feeders?...just curious

on June 19, 2007Whoa! That hummer does look rather scruffy and disreputable. I bet Andrea uses a big yellow flower looking lens hood :)
