• Sunbath

(March 6, 2017) It was a good day to soak up some sun.
 • February showers give way to March flowers

(March 5, 2017) Well, we're a month ahead, but I hope that bee is making us some apples.
 • Interior Decoration

(March 4, 2017) It's Saturday and that means breakfast at the Flabob Airport Cafe and then checking out what's going on in the hangars.
 • Cover Shot

(March 3, 2017) My March issue of Humps 'n Horns came today and I've got the cover shot (and a bunch inside for an article by Barbara Pinnella). Gene - the original shot has all of Eguchi's free arm. The cover crop is not mine.
 • End of the Day

(March 2, 2017) Another egret for today's photo, this time at the end of the day rather than the start.
 • Enter Stage Left

(March 1, 2017) Finally, a sunny day.
 • Throwing Shade

(February 28, 2017) Just a neighborhood cat taking in a little sun and protecting his shadow from sunburn.
 • Maybe . . .

(Feb. 27, 2017) . . . and maybe not. More from the Colt Starting Challenge.
 • Easy does it . . .

(February 26, 2017) The end of the Colt Starting Challenge is an obstacle course with some challenges for the young horses. If you think that this is about to go South, you'd be right.
 • Thinking about it

(February 25, 2017) Day 2 of the Colt Starting Challenge and several of the young horses were not so sure they wanted to get started today.

 • Tree Potato

(February 23, 2017) What I saw this morning: a red tail hawk checking us out.
 • Free Spirit

(February 22, 2017) Cosmo has lots of moving parts.
 • Sad Day

(February 21, 2017) Today an entire community said good bye to Lisa Kay. People came from northern California and Arizona to show their support and love for her and her family.
 • Like water off a . . .

(February 20, 2017) . . . well, you know how it goes. It was a good day for a little cleaning up. Even Gracey got a bath.
 • Migrants

(February 19, 2017) Incoming Canada Geese at Fairmount Park this morning. It's looking a little muddy after the storm.
 • Branch Hopping

(February 18, 2017) Same hawk, different day. Today the hawk was looking for nesting material.
 • Calm Before the Storm

(February 17, 2017) It's supposed to rain cats and dogs today, but all I saw was this Red Shouldered Hawk getting some hunting done before the storm.
 • Tis the Season

(February 16, 2016) Yup, I bought a box to put right by the box I bought last week and also last year. These are pint-sized capitalist guerrillas.
 • Rest In Peace

(February 15, 2017) Lisa Kay passed away yesterday. She contracted West Nile Virus went from this to a coma in one day last summer. She never woke up. Her passing left a huge hole in the fabric of the Norco horse community.
