(Dec. 8) Gus went walkabout yesterday afternoon, breaking through our back fence and ending up on a neighbor's porch three blocks away. He just sat there waiting for someone to come home to a house he didn't know. Luckily the neighbor knew who he was and walked him around and hung out with him until I got home. Gus has been no more than two inches from me all day. I think he scared the bejeebers out of both of us, dang dingdong dog.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Reeling in a big one

(May 29) Kids at Fairmount Park.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Lead dog

(June 13) A different kind of dog today.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > A family resemblance

(June 27) Mama duck and offspring -- not quite ducklings, not quite ducks -- at Rancho Jurupa Park, Rubidoux, CA. This is a lesson learned, and I am a slow learner (or lazy). I shot this on manual, way too dark on a sunny 8 setting (ISO200, f8, 1/800s) by mistake, in that that is my default manual setting and I adjust from there. Even so, with some recovery in pp, the exposure and detail are better than similar shots taken right after this on AV priority. I need to learn to do this on purpose.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Dress to impress

(June 11) One of the Mutton Bustin' competitors at the Jurupa Rodeo.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Big toys

(April 16) The city was taking out a tree next door, and my 7 year old neighbor was fascinated by the equipment.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > If bees could smile . . .

(Feb. 26) My baby apricot tree is in bloom and the bees are loving it. This is also improper use of a 300mm lens as a macro. But I don't have the latter and I do have the former, so it all works out.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Arrrrr!

(March 12) The Pirate of Fairmount Park. I'm guessing a model release is also out of the question.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Good to the last drop

(Feb. 2) One of Gypsy's favorite activities -- chasing water drops and then tracking wet little paws all over.
