THE TONI PROJECT : THE TONI PROJECT: I have always known that my sister was famous, although perhaps not well-known to others. She sat on Einstein’s lap, after all, and I have no doubt that she was there when the theory of relativity was discovered, the space program launched, the great novels written, the classic works of arts created, and when the seedling ideas for medical breakthroughs were hatched. However, up until now, her accounts of encounters with the people that have shaped our history and our lives have been discounted due to lack of proof. A few years ago, in my grandmother’s belongings, I discovered an old photo of Toni with Einstein, and The Toni Project was born. The project is dedicated to the pursuit of truth in uncovering the scientific documentation and photographic proof of Toni’s influence on famous personages throughout history. There are rumors of many more, with John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway, George McGovern, even with John James Audubon, Winston Churchill, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Saint Francis of Assisi, and Hannibal, suggesting a mental impression from before Toni’s own birth. This project will not rest until all the photographs, paintings, and other documentation that support my hypothesis regarding Toni’s incredible network of contacts have been uncovered.

The lost photos from the 2006 year of The Project have been restored. They were dedicated to Toni's cultural and musical outreach with Gertrude Stein, Alice Toklas, the Weavers, Pete Seeger and Lead Belly. The 2006-2007 year was dedicated to Toni's outdoor explorer years, and this year depicts Toni's early efforts toward negotiating world peace.
