Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > We need rain!

(November 1, 2008) What's with the heat and drought? It's November, for cryin' out loud. Mount Rubidoux, viewed from the north from Fairmount Park.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Blech

(Oct. 31, 2008 Extra) Just thought I would share. Jim was inspired by the Murray family's pumpkin and decided to create his own. The kids that noticed were appropriately grossed out.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Happy Halloween!

(October 31, 2008) Be safe out there.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Attitude is everything

(October 30, 2008) I've taking my old dreb (from before it had letters after its name) with me while walking Gus, with the new Smuggy neckstrap. We watched this grebe work on looking fierce down at Fairmount Park.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Going, going, gone

(October 29, 2008) My usual view of outgoing wildlife. Rancho Jurupa Park in Rubidoux, CA.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Darkest before dawn

(October 28, 2008) Riverside waking up. This was taken out walking about 6 am, but since I feel that daylight savings time should have ended last weekend, I think this really is 5 am. Give me my hour back, dammit! I shoulda still been in bed.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Into the wild green yonder

(October 27, 2008) Yesterday was the annual Regreen the Evergreen Cemetery Car Show. The cemetery has undergone many improvements as a result of various local fundraisers like this one, and for the first time in my recent memory, it's actually green . . . at least this portion of it. If you want to see how pathetic it looked just half a year ago, here's a shot from Memorial Day:

Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Focus, focus, focus

(October 26, 2008) This egret ignored me as long as he could before flying off. Usually these guys walk slowly and watch carefully for fish, but this egret would take his foot like he has it here, use it to stir up the mud a bit, and then see if anything swam out of it. Pretty clever, eh?
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Fer cryin' out loud

(October 25, 2008) I'm back up to snuff and back up to old tricks -- annoying wildlife. Thanks for all the well wishes.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Carousel

(October 24, 2008) Well, no photo yesterday -- down with the flu. And today's is another carousel shot from Sunday -- still recovering from yesterday. This is a little friendlier looking horse.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Driveby

(October 22) Well, after all those distractions of the carousel, dogs, and bubbles, I finally did take a few shots of the sidecars. This was after the rangers shut down the rally, sidecars leaving Griffith Park as I was going back to fetch the car. It's hard to understand what bothered the rangers about this "rough" looking crowd.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Bubble kung fu

(October 21, 2008) Apart from carousels, bikes, and sidecars, the other distraction last Sunday was bubbles.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Hangin' out with a buddy

(October 20, 2008) Sort of ruins one's tough guy image, but they were having fun. The bikers came in droves for the sidecar rally at Griffith Park, and it scared the park rangers. They shut the rally down late morning, just as it was getting started. Too bad -- a lot of us had driven a long way, and the crowd was essentially like this guy and older, just wanting to see some vintage bikes and sidecars. It was all very peaceful and dog oriented.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Daydream or nightmare?

(October 19, 2008) Taken at Griffith Park, Los Angeles. For me carousel horses ride that edge between fantasy and nightmare. Yet I also find them irrisistable. We went to see a sidecar rally, but I heard the music of the merry-go-round and . . . .
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Go long!

(October 18, 2008) Kids playing on the downtown mall. Taken with the little G9 on automatic sports setting. The only thing I don't like about the camera is that it's a little slow, especially on an automatic setting, the viewfinder is not particularly accurate, and framing through the LED screen, it's a surprise as to what one actually ends up taking. Kinda fun though -- it serves up a nice dish of photo surprise!
Bubble kung fu
