Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Rattlesnake kata

(Sept. 8) Here's the reason we were headed up that windy road -- a martial arts retreat. Don't be fooled by the white belt. The person the right is the instructor, demonstrating a kata/form that he developed. The wonderfully balanced woman on the left is demonstrating the "other side of the story," as in there has to be another person for there to be a reason to swing a stick at someone! Jim is the guy with the cap sitting on the left.

Nice car
Wasn't it?
-Old Burma Shave Sign

(Sept. 7) On the Carmel Valley Road. Signage was a little sparse for guidance. Sorry I haven't commented on other community shots lately. I'll try to catch up during the week, but we're still on the road.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > More annoyed wildlife

(Sept. 6) We're on the road. There's a pelican colony right outside our hotel room.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Oh Happy Day

(Sept. 4) We got a rug for Gus to remedy his woes about the wood floor:

He's ecstatic. Can you tell?
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Serious business

(Aug. 30) One of the bullfighters -- this is no time for horseplay.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > The roper

(Aug. 29) Another hand shot, trite, I know, sorry. But I am fascinated at how delicately these guys hold the reins.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > The heeler

(Aug. 28) Ready and waiting for the calf to be released.

I'll be out of town tomorrow. If I have internet access, I'll post. If not, I won't. :-)
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Hang on to your hats, folks!

(Aug. 27) The rodeo announcer takes his final fly around, a little faster than he intended.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Rider up!

(Aug. 26) Well, it's 10 pm, I just got home and am downloading the cards. So this is a shot from yesterday of one of the barrel racers entering the arena. Sorry I haven't had a chance to comment on other community shots today at all.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > In front by a nose

(Aug. 25) I believe Shelly asked for some noses, so here are some ponies just chompin' at the bit.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > In the chute

(Aug. 24) It's time for the summer Norco Rodeo, so get ready for a lot of it this week. I'm "on duty" for background shots. This bronc was in the chute and ready for business.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Back off, buckwheat!

(Aug. 23) This is all I got today -- one very belligerent hummer who did not appreciate the papparazzi.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > I see shiny things

(Aug. 22) Still from the antique people, um, I mean antique auto show. In truth, a lot of the garage rats there were as old as the cars.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Three's a crowd

(Aug. 21) Mares can be so witchy. These two very pregnant comadres formed the center of the "popular girls" clique in the pasture. The shot is from last weekend, from a small thoroughbred ranch by the side of the road on my way back from walking around the nature center.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Somebody's been cloning

(Aug. 20) Remember the pied-billed grebe from a while ago?

Well, she has company now, and it's just as shy.
