Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > This is a -------- White Throated Sparrow? (Sept. 23) I've been seeing these little guys around lately but don't know what they are. There's a lot of noise in the photo -- it was shot with the old dreb and with a very large dog leaning on me for security.

Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > T-bucket fan (Sept. 16) We went to the Route 66 Rendezvous this morning. We usually go on Saturday and find it packed. But it was a little sleepy car- and crowd-wise on Sunday morning. The vendors outnumbered everything. So we went home.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Cowabunga! (Sept. 15) Gus was very happy to be home, but he was also delighted with a present from a buddy at "camp" (spelled K-E-N-N-E-L).
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Manzanar, CA (Sept. 14) We're home and happy to be back. We stopped by the site of the old Manzanar Japanese Internment Camp, which reinforced how lucky we are to be able to come home at all. This is the cemetery at the base of the eastern Sierra Nevada.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > More token scenery (Sept. 13) We drove up to the ancient bristlecone forest today. Every photo gallery around here has one of these shots in it. It's like having a shot of the Maroon Bells in Colorado. So I got me one too. Seriously, though, they were amazing and I got to run around at 10,000 feet, which makes me a little giddy. Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Token scenery (Sept. 12) . . . because there was no wildlife to annoy. This is a little north of Bishop along the 5 Bridges Road (and somewhere we missed 3 of those bridges). It was also supposed to be a "wildlife viewing" area, but we didn't see a wildlife at all, let alone the plural of it. So I took this photo instead.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Welcome to Yosemite (Sept. 11) This fella was the welcoming committee to Yosemite National Park. Young guy and mama wasn't to be seen, so we didn't stick around to make introductions. He was stripping an oak of its acorns.

Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Gimme that! (Sept. 9) Last day of the weapons retreat and demonstration of taking a weapon away. It's a little dark even on this laptop screen. I'll fix it a bit when I get home. Right now we're still on the road.
